The Smartrise IoT Gateway is a controller built and supported by Smartrise that retrofits to conventional and modern elevators of any brand. One controller per elevator handles call control and intercom and reports over both 4G and the building LAN, so it keeps working if one connection drops. It is managed from a mobile app, a web app or your control-room BMS, and supports escalators too.

Will the IoT Gateway work with my existing lift?
It is designed to. The gateway retrofits to conventional and modern lifts whatever the brand: tell us the lift type and model and we match the controller to it before quoting.
Why does it use both 4G and LAN?
Two independent connections mean the elevator stays reachable if the building network or the mobile network fails, which matters for intercom and remote call control.
Who manages it?
Building managers use the mobile or web app, and larger sites can feed it into their control-room BMS. Smartrise builds and supports the gateway itself rather than reselling a third-party box.
